Family Day in the Park

September 27th, 2025
The Oak Grove at O’Neill Park
Wayfarers Lodge #889 is returning to the site of our Constitution to enjoy a day in the park!
We are inviting masons and their families and friends to O’Neill Park in Trabuco Canyon for a day of fellowship and fun. We’ll enjoy a standard picnic cookout lunch of burgers, dogs, and sides from noon to 1pm – and spend the rest of the time enjoying a nice day outside!
We’ll be at the Oak Grove between 9am and 4pm, which will give us access to the park’s amenities. In addition to games and relaxation around the Oak Grove, the park features miles of gorgeous trails (including possible running water) and a children’s playground. Pack up your family, go on a short hike, enjoy lunch, and maybe play some horseshoes or badminton!
Lunch: noon-1pm.

Facilities
O’Neill Regional Park’s 4,500 acres are situated in beautiful Trabuco and Live Oak Canyons. The park is heavily wooded with coast live oak and sycamore trees. The hillsides surrounding the park are filled with cactus, wild buckwheat, sagebrush and chaparral of scrub oak, buckthorn and mountain mahogany. Trabuco and Hickey Creeks also meander through the park, flowing in winter and early spring, dry in summer and fall.
Activities
The park serves both as an overnight camping and day-use/picnic facility.
More than 23 miles of scenic trails can be explored by foot, bicycle or horseback. Other day use activities include horseshoe pits, two large community turf areas and a children’s playground.
